Mayor Ras Baraka Birthday Celebration

Mayor Ras Baraka celebrated his birthday last night with family, the residents of the city and politicians.  There were lots of old friends, cabinet officials, and even Mayor Sharpe James, with the partying going through the evening.

He told guests during the affair at Avenue A that the city is on its way up with the challenges still there but together as a community we will fight it together.   “Newark is moving up” Baraka said. “I don’t know about y’all, but Newark is moving forward.”

The mayor and guests had a good time, mingling, laughing, and plenty of hand shaking.
