For all my geeks and my 80’s babies that watch this movie over and over on Sunday afternoon, TRON Legacy is coming to theaters 2010 in Disney Digital 3D. For those that don’t know, this is a classic that really never made any sense but was dope because of the transformation and the cool motorcycles that they were able to transform in. I definitely got to check it out.
For all my watch lovers, stunners, and fronters…..CASIO G-SHOCK enters a colorful month for March. Casio will be moving away from the usual collection of DW-5600 and DW-6900s, the GA0110 model becomes the focus of this upcoming release. A total of five models include some notable colors under the Hyper Colors pack including orange, yellow, blue, green and a multi-colored special edition piece as well. Available this month at select CASIO G-SHOCK dealers.

Fresh out the clink and TI and his crew link with Casio for a limited edition official AKOO G-Shock Chronograph dropping March 15th. They’re only releasing 1000 and they’ll run about $180. These look kind of right to me.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to collaborate with G-Shock. The AKOO edition is an extension to their consistent track record. We can’t wait for our AKOO family and customers to get their hands on it” stated AKOO prez Jason Geter.
The watch will be priced at $180 and is limited to 1,ooo pieces so make sure to get yours fast once they hit the streets. Check out the exclusive packaging the G-Shock comes with.

Back in ‘08 Kobe Bryant jumped over an Aston Martin and inspired Nike to team up with Aston Martin to create the “Kobe Bryant x Aston Martin Hyperdunk” sneaker by Nike. It is being said that only 500 pairs will be made and no release date has been set. But check out this crazy jump that gave way to inspire a $700 sneaker… Straight CRAZY!

Mr. Fashionista himself, Tim Gunn, is putting the Kardashian sister’s style in check. In a recent interview, Tim was asked about the Kardashian Sister’s new line at Bebe, and here’s what he had to say:
WW: Are you a supporter of the Kardashians’ line with Bebe?
TG: No! I just think the Kardashians have an absence of taste and I don’t think that that should be perpetuated. I’m sorry I’m sounding like an old farty snob but it bothers me.
WW: You sound like somebody who’s telling the truth.
TG: I will say in general with celebrity labels, with the understanding that they’re not actually designing them, but you hope in a way that they’re not overseeing them either. I’m all in favor of anything that employs young designers.
I’m honestly not a fan of the Kardashian sisters; however, it is very rare that they look a hot mess. Now I’m no Tim Gunn, but I happen to think they have style. Besides, I own one of the Kardashian dresses from the Bebe line, so no bad talk from me!
Get ready to get down and dirty with British rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand)! Aldous was once a brilliant musician, but now his star power is starting to fade, and hes in desperate need of a comeback. Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) is instructed by his record mogul boss, Sergio Roma (Sean Combs), to fly to London and escort Aldous Snow to L.A.s world famous Greek Theatre for the opening night of his comeback tour and of course, its no easy task!
Nike Sportswear commemorates Black History Month with its newest rendition of the staple Air Force 1. Comprised of inspirational elements, the shoe touts an original design, which pays homage to the rise of Black enterprise, economic empowerment and the Harlem Renaissance individual behind this rise. The shoe’s main inspiration is clearly imprinted onto the upper: “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge.” Silhouettes of a man and woman on the sock liner and hang tag signify that the change celebrated by Black History Month was made possible only by the participation of both genders. The boldest detail of the AF1 is its colorway, black red and green – the colors of the African American flag. In the tradition of community and giving back, Nike will be making a donation to Cheyney University, the oldest Black institution in the country and a key inspiration in the creation of this shoe. The kicks drop on February 18th at a selection of the countries’ top Nike accounts:

Okay so the Data Awards is a Special Awards Ceremony That Will Recognize the Contributions of DJs, Producers, and the Dance Community during Grammy Week, so that now we got that cleared away, let’s get to at Kelis. Kelis whole outfit seemed to have come from the Avatar Movie but in a tooth fairy kind of way and ridiculous doesn’t even begin to explain it. And then came the shoes, so futuristic….

How much worse could this have gotten, the pony tail. I guess this is why Nas couldn’t not communicate to her….

Which is worse the tail or the shoe?

Here is Will.I.Am and Fergie as they made their entrance….Boring!!!

What New Jersey Needs. In the middle of the chaos that can be New Jersey, in-between the government scandals, violent outbreaks and spiked hair celebrities, there is a gem that lies just beneath the surface.
The heART Gallery is the diamond of New Jersey’s rapidly progressing cultural arts scene.
Since its beginning in the Summer of 2009, initially operating out of Dolce in Elizabeth, NJ, the heART Gallery (held the last Sunday of each month) has consistently found fresh new vendors selling everything from clothes to candles. Hosting live artists, painting anything from contemporary to modern to black art. And some of the best up and coming musical talent that one could find. Now in the New Year, they have a new home (The Loft. 8 Lackawanna Plaza, Montclair, NJ) but the same passion that has been the key to their success thus far.
There’s no denying that The heART Gallery has been a breath of fresh air for anyone who has found themselves in attendance. Including founders RodneyRikai Thomas, Femi Adedoyin and Cue Gibson. “There was definitely a void here in New Jersey. Having gone to school in North Carolina and lived in a couple of different places like DC, Atlanta and Las Vegas, I was wondering what New Jersey was missing when I moved back. Then one day it hit me, ‘where’s the dope stuff’?” Thomas who usually hosts and sings, says. “There was one spot called Voro’s that used to be dope, but then that got shut down and there was literally nothing else that even remotely intrigued me. I got approached about The heART Gallery and I knew it was something I wanted to be apart of”.
And ever since then they’ve been on a path to build New Jersey up, brick by brick, the way they envision it to be.
“There’s so much potential here (in Jersey). I go to New York often, and half of the people I meet, people I never would have guessed, are
from New Jersey. It’s crazy! They shouldn’t have to travel out of state, even if it is only a 15 minute ride to the city. They can get what they want right here with us”, former club promoter Femi Adedoyin states. And he’s right, in that a number of the artists on the underground music scene, who are familiar names in New York, grew up right across the tunnel in New Jersey. From more known names like Chinah Blac, to up and comers like Mo0 (a fixture at The heART Gallery), the talent pool in New Jersey is far from shallow. But The heART Gallery is not just about giving Jersey artists a platform. “We definitely wouldn’t want to limit ourselves by having people thinking this is just a ‘Jersey thing’. We’re doing this for New Jersey, so there’s a huge difference. We’ve had acts come from as far as Seattle (theeSatisfaction) and even London (Louise Browne). We want anyone, from anywhere, if they’re good enough, to come and show out. The event just happens to be in Jersey”.
They have a genuine passion for everything that their event has to offer: Music, Fashion, Poetry & Art. They regularly listen to acts that have graced the HG stage like Joya Bravo, Jesse Boykins III, Sonyae Elise and Talonted just as much as they listen to more well-known mainstream artists. On any given day you can catch one of them in a t-shirt from any of the clothing lines that have sold merchandise at their event and they even have artwork hanging in their homes from some of the artists who have painted. That’s how much they love what they’re doing, and that’s why they’re so passionate about The heART Gallery.
The heART Gallery is dope. And there isn’t any reason to think that that’s going to change anytime soon. They’ve already enlisted the services of some ‘A’ level talent for the upcoming months and a partnership with one of the more popular online magazine company’s should solidify that ‘HG’ isn’t going anywhere, anytime in the near future, unless they decide to.
“We’re definitely interested and have been contacted about doing it (The HG) in some other states. A lot of people out of state are very intrigued by what we do and want to participate but they live so far. So don’t be surprised if you see HG in like DC or Atlanta or somewhere outside of Jersey”, RodneyRikai exposes. “We’d be foolish not to consider anything that can further along or create opportunity for the vendors, artists, performers or The HG brand.”

Two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter’s upcoming wedding, and Paul (Tracy Morgan) is his “partner-against-crime” whose preoccupation with his wife’s alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball.
New Line, or rather Warner Brothers, has debuted the first official trailer for Sex and the City 2 starring the same four girls as before: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon. Given this is the sequel, we already know what to expect, so don’t start complaining guys. This is mainly a movie for the ladies and they even sell it that way with the “Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls!” line at the end of the trailer. It certainly looks as glamorous and glorified as the first Sex and the City movie, but I’ll leave that debate to those who are actually interested in seeing this. Watch the new trailer below!
The Karate Kid, directed by Harald Zwart (The Pink Panther 2), stars Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan, and Taraji P. Henson. Chan plays Mr. Han, a maintenance man who spots his black-eye and offers to teach him both martial arts and Chinese, so he can defend against all the kung-fu students. Sony is bringing The Karate Kid to theaters starting on June 11th, 2010 this summer. Will you be seeing this in theaters next year or not?

The unnecessary and unwanted remake of the great 2007 British Comedy Death at a Funeral is coming out in a matter of months and the first official trailer for the movie was recently released online.
This version of Death at a Funeral stars Chris Rock, Zoe Saldana, Danny Glover, James Marsden, Luke Wilson, Martin Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Tracy Morgan and Ron Glass. It is directed by Neil LaBute
Synopsis: Three unconnected Brooklyn cops wind up at the same deadly location after enduring vastly different career paths.
Definitely feeling the use of “Run This Town” in this new trailer. Antoine Fuqua (director of Training Day) with Ethan Hawke and the unofficial comeback of Wesley Snipes (cornrows and all) as Brooklyn’s Finest will have a major studio release when it hits theaters March 5th, 2010. Definitely has a feel to it, that this will be must see.
