Update- Death of Lorenzen Wright Ruled A Homicide!

Lorenzen Wright’s death has been ruled a homocide by Memphis Police Department. Wright died as a result of a gunshot wound, although its unclear of how many times he was actually shot. Police discovered his body through a coordinated search and the medical examiner identified the body through dental records.

The big question is why police did not follow up on the hang up 911 call that was placed from Wright’s phone on July 19th, where multiple gunshots were heard before the line disconnected.

The corrections officer turned rapper logged on to twitter to let the world know that he had the “no.1 album in the country..”

Little did he know that the official numbers weren’t out yet and that Teflon Don was in fact #2. Still a strong standing but definitely not the #1 spot, which continued to be held by Eminem’s Recovery for the Fifth week in a row.

The Modern Day Robin Hood – ‘Steals’ $1Mil From Las Vegas Casino’s & Gives it To the Less Fortunate

He calls himself Robin Hood and has vowed to take from the rich to give to the poor.

But this modern-day version of the legendary outlaw doesn’t roam Sherwood Forest – he strikes at the casinos of glittering Las Vegas.

The mysterious cardsharp uses his skills as a professional gambler to ‘rob’ the casinos and give his winnings to hard-up families.

Along with his ‘Maid Marian’ – a stunning Brazilian model who calls herself Lady Greice – Robin, who insists on maintaining his anonymity, has set up a website inviting people to send in their hard-luck stories and apply for up to $50,000.

Since embarking on his mission, he has given away more than $1,000,000 to deserving families.

This includes $35,000 he won for the Kegler family, who were in debt after paying for vital drugs to treat their toddler daughter’s brain tumour.

Now in his 40s, Robin said he decided it was time to help out others who lead a less fortunate life than his.

‘Most people can only dream the sort of lifestyle I have: Jets to fly me to casinos, staying in 8,000sq floor penthouse apartments, so I wanted to give them a taste of what it is like,’ he said.

‘It would be easier just to hand them money but by using my skills as a blackjack player it means that I have earned the money by doing my job.
‘I always loved the film Robin Hood, particularly the original with Errol Flynn. I think Russell Crowe is great as Robin. I loved the film.

‘I thought if Robin could do that all those years ago I could do something similar in Vegas. I called myself Robin Hood 702. The 702 is the postcode for Las Vegas.’

Even the casinos are not sure which of their ‘high rollers’ – someone prepared to lose up to hundreds of thousands a night – is Robin, who will only admit to being from the East Coast of America and has gambled professionally since the age of 16.

He said he was so touched by the Keglers’ story, he paid for the family to fly to Vegas where he put them up in a five-star hotel.

He then got to work on the blackjack table using his own money – initially losing more than $300,000 before securing the Keglers’ cash.

Robin said: ‘I could have walked away from the table and just given the Keglers the money, but I had promised them that I would get their money from winning at the casino.

‘As soon as I got their money I walked away from the table even though I was down on the night.

‘Just seeing their faces and knowing that they were no longer going to be in debt was worth it.
‘After leaving them I went back to my room and just cried. It was so satisfying knowing that I have helped someone, and perhaps changed their lives.’

Robin’s generosity has become part of Vegas folklore, and months after their visit to ‘Sin Ciy’, Megan and Kurt Kegler still cannot believe his kindness.

Kurt, 48, said: ‘It was just mind blowing. He brought us to Vegas and we were ferried round in a Rolls-Royce.

‘It was just another world and we waited in the hotel room and Robin just walked in with all these chips.

‘You hear so much about bad people these days, but he is really one of the good guys.’

Before becoming a full-time gambler, Robin worked in a series of jobs, serving in shops and at a petrol station.

He knew at 16 that he wanted to make money and said there were two ways – gambling or selling drugs.

‘I didn’t want to go to jail and so chose gambling,’ he said.

Robin said he knew he had ‘made it’ as a gambler several years ago when he met British boxer Lennox Lewis in Vegas.

He invited the former world champion up to his penthouse suite at Caesars Palace Hotel.

‘Lennox walked into my room, took out his camera and began taking photos he was so blown away,’ he said.

‘It was then I realised I was living a life that few people get to experience. When you have a world boxing champion who is impressed with your hotel room then you know you’re in the big time.’

Robin is also trying to persuade some billionaire friends to join him in giving back to those less fortunate.

‘I call them my Merry Men. There is a New York billionaire Stewart Rahr who has said he wants to join in what I’m doing.’

Hollywood producers are also interested in telling his story and there is a possibility of a reality show based around his good deeds.

‘People who have got money should spread it around to those less fortunate,’ he said.

‘That was the ideal of Robin Hood and what he did all those hundreds of years ago we can do today.’

Oh yeah, this is his girl by the way… I guess doing good really does pay off

Former NBA player, 34 year old Lorenzen Wright was found dead in a Wooded area of Memphis after being missing since July 19th. The former No. 7 draft pick was facing financial difficulties and recently experienced his home being foreclosed on so suicide has not been ruled out. Foul play is also being investigated, because of a hang up 911 phone call that police received from his phone on July 19th. Wright leaves behind 6 children.

Wright attended the University of Memphis before being drafted No. 7 overall in 1996 by the L.A. Clippers. Wright’s 13 year career included the Clippers, the Hawks, Memphis and Cleveland where he played his last season in 2009.

Hood News: Plainfield woman flashing drivers on the garden state parkway???

23-year-old Arika Felder of Plainfield, N.J. took it upon herself to park her car accross three northbound lanes during rush hour, stopping traffic by exit 109 on the Garden State Parkway earlier this week.

After Ms. Felder got out of car she began to flash drivers passing by. Once a state trooper approached her, she ran back to her car and proceeded to drag the officer with her for about 20 yards until she crashed into a concrete barrier.

The flashing floozy was apprehended and moments after the crash and taken to a psychiatric hospital. She is being charged with aggravated assault on a trooper, eluding and resisting arrest. Neither Felder or the trooper were seriously injured.

Felder wasn’t hurt, but was committed to a state psychiatric facility. She’s charged with aggravated assault on a trooper, eluding and resisting arrest.

Looks like Jay-Z has a little beef with LeBron James now that he’s announced that he’s signing with the Miami. Details Below:

The Internet is popping with a report that the hip-hop magnate, who’s also a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets, is upset that James kept him out of the loop on his decision to join the Miami team.

The website Mediatakeout.com quotes an “EXTREMELY CREDIBLE insider” – the capital letters are meant to underscore the source’s supposed reliability – saying “Jay-Z felt disrespected that King James did not consult with him during the free agency process.”

And Gatecrasher got a similar take from a source in Jay-Z’s camp. “Jay never expected LeBron to sign with the Nets. He knew that no 25-year-old kid with James’ profile was going to spend years in Newark,” the source tells Gatecrasher. “But he’s pissed, or at least disappointed, that LeBron didn’t consult with him.”

Still, our source says, “I don’t think it’s going to affect their friendship.”

According to Mediatakeout’s insider, James’ silent treatment made Jay-Z look bad with Nets’ management. While LeBron was making his decision, “he didn’t even take [Jay-Z's] calls. It made [Jay-Z] look like he couldn’t deliver to the Nets management,” the website’s source says. If Jay-Z could have landed a star player, “he could have been seen as a legitimate asset to the team,” the source said. “Now they see him as just dead weight.”

Turns out Chris Tucker hasn’t been following these rules for a couple years now!!!!

According to TMZ new documents show the “Rush Hour” star now owes the IRS more than $11 million in back taxes.

The Internal Revenue Service filed documents with the L.A. County Recorder’s Office yesterday, which show Tucker owes $11,571,909.26 in federal taxes for the years 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006.

Here’s how it all breaks down:

2001 — $4,007,794.34
2002 — $5,060,074.23
2004 — $55,544.84
2005 — $660,414.94
2006 — $1,788,080.91

Bad enough this isnt the first time he’s had a problem with the IRS, the State of California filed a lien against Tucker for allegedly not paying $3,594,409 in state taxes over the same time span.

Damn Smokey I know you still got that money from Friday and the 3 other Rush Hour movies you’ve done….I wonder how this is going to play out….

Chris Brown and Usher were seen performing at Rock Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica and it definitely appears that the two put on a hell of a show. Usher and Chris Brown shared a hug at Saturday’s Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay where Usher headlined “International Night 2.” Brown headlined the previous night. From the pictures it was all laughs and hugs, and even Elephant made an appearance while the two were on the stage performing.

The Jamaican Observer revealed that Brown and Usher recorded a song between Saturday and Sunday and Mr. Raymond partied with the locals following his performance. ”He said he wanted to go somewhere local and we took him to Pier One where he danced up a storm,” Gourzong said.

According to multiple Reports, Wyclef Jean, ex member of the Fugees and Poster boy for Haiti causes is planning on running for President in his home country of Haiti.

Clef tried to dispel the rumor mill by announcing on twitter last week ”Just to Clear up the rumors I have not announce to the Press that I’m Running for President of Haiti.” This statement really only confirms that he hasn’t announced anything yet, but time will tell…

No one can deny the intense passion, commitment and love that he has continually displayed for Haiti and I do believe that is 100% genuine; however Clef definitely has some obstacles to overcome if he does indeed decide to announce his candidacy. Clef will have to dispel all doubts regarding any shady business handling of hisYele foundation, before he can even begin to assist in the cleanup of a government that is tarnished by corrupt politicians.

On that note, lets not forget that Haiti, still needs our help!
