The ladies of “Sparkle” or the Sparkle sisters grace the cover of the September issue of Ebony Magazine. With Carmen Ejogo, Jordin Sparks and Tika Sumpter. The highly anticipated film will be hitting theaters August 17, they discuss about working with Whitney Houston, channeling their characters and how they feel about their careers.
“I think if Sparkle were here now, and a real person, we would be best friends. She’s been wanting [fame] her whole life. Music is all she thinks about; it’s all she has ever wanted to do…That’s how I felt when I was growing up,” said Sparks.
