We reported earlier in the week about the family that was massacred in Florida. The five children of Mesac Damas — Michzach, 9, Marven, 6, Maven, 5, Megan, 3 and 11-month-old Morgan and Mesac’s wife, Guerline, were found dead in their North Naples apartment Saturday night.
Collier County Sheriff’s Office investigators said Damas was considered “a person of interest”
According to the Miami Herald, Damas, 33, was taken into custody yesterday afternoon by the Haitian National police who found him hiding in a home next to the hotel where he was staying. Damas reportedly told police “I was going to turn myself in. You see I’ve got my suit on and everything,” and he told a reporter he returned to the island nation “mostly to say goodbye to my family.”
I don’t wish him the worst but I do keep these families in my prayer.
